During our mission to Nefta in Tunisia from March 11th to the 19th, we received over 3,000 patients at the clinic. We have also emphasized a screening and prevention program in the schools. We went to 8 elementary and 3 high schools to screen students. Those requiring a more indepth exam were given a rendez-vous at the clinic. We screened over 2,5000 students. Thanks to all the team who did a great job. Upcoming missions: from April 30th until May 14th a team of 35 will head ot Drobeta Turnu Severin for a 6 1/2 day clinic. Another team of 32 will leave Jly 19th for an 8 day clinic to Guayaquil and Manta Beach in Ecuador. We have also begun to form the team for LaBarca Mexico with dpearture November 16th Guayaquil, Ecuador July 13-21st 2006 We have just concluded another mission to Ecuador. The mission was held in a new university hospital under construction. This hospital serves surrounding poor districts. We received about 2,900 patients in 6 days. We were warmly greeted by our hosts. We would also like to acknowledge the help of Air Canada and Avianca with the baggage surplus. As you may have noticed, we tend to travel heavy. We had the media present during the time of the clinic with many television stations present. We have an invitation for next year 2 X 4 days in Guayaquil and Manta on the Pacific coast July 2007
LaBarca and Jilotlàn de los Dolores
, Mexico, November 2005 A volunteer group of 25 made up of Canadians, Australians and American offered a free 8 day day clinic in the stae of Jalisco, Mexico. The mission began with 4 days in LaBarca followed by 4 days in Jilotlàn de los Dolores, a small village in the mountains. During the clinic , we were able to receive over 2,900 patients.
